Birding Classes

The Santa Fe College Community Education’s popular birdwatching class will resume this Fall and AAS will once again lead the program, which is held each Saturday morning for four consecutive weeks. The schedule and registration form will be available through Santa Fe College when they are finalized.

The most recent class was scheduled for March 28 – May 8, 2020, for which registration opened March 11, 2020. The Coronavirus pandemic forced its cancellation and prolonged hiatus.

Santa Fe College’s (SFC) Community Education Program in collaboration with The Alachua Audubon Society (AAS) offers a 4-week course in Field Identification of Birds.

Offered for Fall and Spring semesters, registration is through SFC and costs $49. To register, call (352) 395-5193 or go online to SFC Community Education, click on the registration link under TAKE A CLASS and type “bird” in the Search box. The result, Bird Watching, should have a link under Course Details to register after March 11.

These courses continue to receive great reviews.  Limit 12 students (of all ages), so register early as they fill quickly. Hope to see you in class!
